While most mornings it’s nice to leisurely eat breakfast on the balcony of the Seahorse Retreat or Palm Breeze Beach House while enjoying beautiful views of the Santa Rosa Sound, there are those days you might want to venture out for a sit-down breakfast or brunch.
You won’t have to travel far. Here are our favorite places for breakfast/brunch in Navarre:
This small bright blue house right off Highway 98 near the Navarre Beach bridge serves Cuban-inspired breakfasts and great coffee. It’s small inside so if you have a big group, go with patience. Friendly service. Offerings include melt-in-your-mouth smoked brisket tacos, omelettes, Cuban breakfast sandwich, and avocado cupcakes.
The first restaurant you’ll see when you cross the bridge to Navarre Beach. Sit out on the back porch and take in the view of the beach and Santa Rosa Sound. Good omelettes and pastries (the cream cheese pillow is quite yummy).
Awesome breakfast burritos. Think food truck with a great view. You can order to go or eat there at a picnic table. Breakfast is from 6 or 7-11 until sold out. We’re fans of the Ghostrider (eggs, cheese tater tots, chorizo, jalapenos, onions and habanero cream sauce) or the Baja (eggs, cheese, tater tots, shredded beef with chipotle peppers). And if you want a sugar fix after your savory meal, head across the street to….
This food truck serves up mouth-watering donuts ranging from everyday varieties such as chocolate coconut and cinnamon sugar to daily specials like strawberry maple bacon and red velvet.
Alphy’s caters to locals and tourists and is a great place to bring the family for a hearty breakfast. The menu is huge but the prices are not. Choose from eggs, bacon, sausage, hotcakes, gravy biscuits, french toast, omelets, eggs benedict, hash browns, grits, breakfast steak… and more. Try their cinnamon bun pancake - a fan favorite.
