Folly is funky, is fun, and it has no shortage of reasons for a festival. For real. Where else do they have a Bill Murray look-a-like competition and then race wildly into the freezing Atlantic ocean - in January? Exactly!

A week long, beach-wide Mardi Gras style celebration complete with live music, food and craft vendors, and a Folly Gras parade and an all day street party.
SEA & SAND FESTIVAL

The longest running annual event on Folly Beach, Sea & Sand is a weekend affair with something for everyone including Miss Sea & Sand Pageant, a street festival, and a competition in the sand.

A cancer benefit that raises money for Folly Beach residents who are receiving cancer treatments, this street festival features live music, an art competition, an auction & carnival atmosphere.

Celebrate the music that has been a part of Folly Beach since the Big Bands played on The Pier in the 40’s. Visit where Gershwin wrote Porgy & Bess and enjoy lots of free musical events.

Santa parades through the streets of his favorite beach town. During the parade, knock-out some of your holiday shopping at the Arts & Crafts Show at the Community Center.

Attendees start the New Year with a plunge into the (not so) cold Atlantic while dressed as their favorite Bill character. Followed by a little hair-of-the-dog.
